The acceptance of freelancing has grown effectively with time. It's a great way to earn money and experience, and provides individuals a channel to use their set of skills. With the increasing demand of freelancers in the modern world industries, NUST PNEC, in collaboration with Women Engineers Pakistan, organized a workshop on freelancing to satiate the same need. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rafay Qureshi, who is a Digital Marketer, a Public Speaker, and a Trainer. He's also serving as a Mentor at The Nest I/O, where he helps young talent to explore their true potential. As the technical advisor at Women Engineers Pakistan (WEP), he's working actively to assist women in the sphere of Engineering and Technology. He is the founder of Dastkari.pk, which is yet another reason why you should attend this workshop. Women Engineers Pakistan WEP Punjab Chapter took our talented engineers to a tour of Pakistan Railways. Traditionally, the Railways department has always been lacking in women. However throughout the trip, professionals at the department encouraged our ladies by showing them around and educating about various systems and equipment employed for proper functioning. WEP thanks the department for facilitating the trip! Members of Women Engineers Pakistan met with Mr. Charles Cshulze from Carfax Educational Projects working in consortium with British Council Pakistan to aid in conducting research in Pakistan on female participation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in Pakistan. Solutions to some discrete problems were also put on the table. Later, the current "brain-drain" phenomena was discussed and the pressing need for engineering entrepreneurship was implored upon the audience. The Citizens Foundation honoured WEP Founder Miss Ramla Karim Qureshi by inviting her at the TCF Rahbar Program as "Hero Speaker." Here she talked to young girls and boys about the importance of attaining education.
