Members of our WEP Punjab Team gathered on February 19th 2015 at Aisha Girls High School, Gujranwala to begin our mission "Science for Progress" aiming to promote female education and constructive growth of the women of Pakistan. The teachers and staff cooperated with the team and provided us with their Assembly Hall. The team received good feedback from them afterwards too.
The session started with Tilawat e Quran-e-Pak, done by an 8th class girl, at 12.30 pm. The girls were of class 7th, 8th and some were of 6th too, total strength was almost more than 140 girls and mostly were very talented and confident. The presentation focused mainly on introducing Science & Engineering to the girls, who seemed to almost have no idea about it. The session ended at 1.30 pm. At the end a little quiz period was conducted and 5 winners were given prizes by the Team. If neither Engineering nor any other Technology program they will be at-least willing to study, plan and work ahead, for themselves and for their beloved Pakistan.
