Keeping up with our tradition of school outreach, Ms Anam Amad Siddiqui from PNEC NUST presented for the "WEP Science for Progress" program at Mama Parsi Girls Secondary School, Karachi. The aim of these sessions is always to dispel stigma associated with engineering and technology, and to reject fear of math and physics within secondary school girls. This outreach session was conducted in collaboration with Formula Electric Racing - NUST, where we are helping ignite a technological spark among the future-makers of #Pakistan.
In essence of the upcoming International Women's Day 2018, WEP ER Manager Yusra Shah conducted #outreach at Bahria College Karachi regarding Women Engineers Pakistan and our work. Both male and female students from intermediate levels were present in the audience, and helped make the session interactive with their questions and opinions. Most of WEP outreach focuses on encouraging more girls towards higher education, but it is always a treat to speak to young boys about women empowerment and equality.
