Following the tradition of empowering females by WEP, another career counseling session was held in Sargodha on August 8th, 2015. The session was held at an academy in “Islamic Alta Vista” school and was arranged by WEP member, Talha Choudhary along with volunteers Mr. Haider Sultan and Mr. Fahad Masud. The audience was academy girls of grade 9th and 10th since the school was closed for summer vacation. This one-hour session began at 5 pm with the distribution of chocolates among the students, followed by a presentation by the team. The presentation focused on the introduction of Engineering sciences and technology to the students; guiding and further counseling the girls on what field to chose and study. The presentation further introduced WEP to the girls, along with its motto and efforts to empower females of Pakistan. The session was followed by a simple quiz. The response to this session was amazing as most of the girls, when asked about future plans, were willing to pursue Engineering, Biomedical Engineering being a popular answer. The session was on the whole a great success and the Principal of the school invited the team for another such session when the school reopens. WEP, is grateful to its male members for becoming propellants of diversity.
