For Schools, Career guidance is facilitated through:
• Self-Awareness:
Students generally rely on their parents, teachers, peers and most frequently their academic performance for streamlining their career path. We at the WEP Career Coaching Cell make them recognize their aptitude in various different fields and help them align their strengths with their passions. Our model works around the following algorithm:
Personality + Ability + Interest = Most Favorable Career Choice
• Motivation Checks:
Within the age bracket of 15 – 18 years, a child’s motivation is easily impressionable. We nurture their enthusiasm into responsibility towards society, helping the students embark upon a journey that eventually pans out to help build Pakistan.
• Soft Skill enhancements:
We constantly tell students that whereas academic zeniths are undoubtedly important, interpersonal skills are just as central in achieving success. We work on distinguishing the students’ natural prodigy and help them polish their soft skills in a way that boosts their confidence.
• Academic attention:
Certain students face difficulties in academic advancement. We work on probing the most effective ways to study for every individual student. However, this is a separately designed module which spans over a week and incorporates both teachers and students in a classroom set.
• Motivating School Girls towards STEM:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields face a gaping dearth of female participation. Much of this is due to stereotypical shackles that STEM fields are too difficult for girls to practice. In order to facilitate their participation in Science & Technology and consequently incorporate their contribution in the nation’s progress, we help female students think out-of-the box by opening up new vistas of wonderful possibilities in STEM.
